How to Survive the Sticky Summer Commute

sweaty commute

Guys, it's hot out there.

Whether you're on the east coast, west coast, down south, or even the typically cool pacific northwest, things are steamy this summer. Unfortunately, just because it's a million degrees outside, doesn't mean we can all quit work and head to the shore.

So, if you're one of the many millions of Americans who finds themselves stuck in the office and commuting to work on crowded public transit, just know that you're not alone. Things may not be great out there, but it's not hopeless.

Here are 3 ways to survive the sweaty summer commute:

Wear Unfettered socks

Duh. We literally exist for this exact purpose. Whether you're on a bus, train, or some other form of public transit (streetcar? heavy rail? shuttle?) you can look professional without sacrificing foot comfort. Slip into a pair of unfettered socks in the morning and your feet will stay odor free and less sweaty throughout the workday.

Use Shower Replacement Wipes

While many people recommend these for long camping trips, ShowerPill body wipes will help you mop up sweat and keep you smelling fresh all day. The scent is gender neutral so you don't have to worry about smelling like flowers or cologne all day. It's a quick way to wipe down after a sweaty commute if you have to head straight into meetings.

Stay Hydrated

Keeping your body hydrated has the bonus effect of cooling you down. One thing that works particularly well on hot summer days is freezing a half full water bottle overnight and then topping it off with water in the morning. Carry it during your commute and take regular gulps of the good stuff.
