Summertime is a very popular time to travel. Work is often quieter, there are numerous weddings and celebrations that take place, and every weekend feels like an escape when you get out of town during the warmer months. But summer travel also means planning for some disruption to your routine. You may be popping in and out of town, exploring new places, and potentially wearing entirely new ensembles.
Here are our three accessory recommendations for summer travel.
1. A pair of flip flops
Male toes can be a scary sight, but if the nails are clipped and the blisters are buffed, you have permission to show them off in sandals. Please, no socks with sandals, and don’t wear flip flops beyond the pool or beach.
It’s best to opt for a nice loafer or boat shoe if you’re venturing out into town, but in general, flip flops
are compact, take up hardly any space in your suitcase, and can act as a pool shoe or slipper for wearing indoors.
2. Cool shades
Sunglasses protect your eyes from the sun, prevent squinting, and serve as a trendy addition to most outfits. Glasses can really make a difference depending on the shape of your face so find a pair that sits comfortably on the bridge of your nose and highlights your best features.
3. Unfettered socks
We’re biased of course, but we think no male traveler should be without a pair of Unfettered Socks.
When it’s warm out, our feet sweat. It’s biology. Adding to the warmer temps, summer travel means long lines in the airport, and stressful transit situations. You may find yourself trying to pack light and hoping some of your clothes can pull double duty.
Unfettered socks do exactly that. Our performance socks for men
soak up sweat and have an odor-free bottom like your average athletic sock, but have the professional upper of a business sock. So whether you’re headed through airport security with your shoes off, going for a morning jog on the boardwalk, or getting fancy schmancy for a wedding, our socks make life easier for summer travel.
